The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo es la adaptación del best-seller escrito por Stieg Larsson, una trilogía que ya ha tenido su adaptación cinematográfica pero en su versión sueca, la cual fue un rotundo éxito y permitió que la actriz protagonistas de esta historia, Noomi Rapace se lanzara a la fama por su excelente interpretación.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo cuenta la historia de una joven que desapareció a los 16 años, la heredera de una importante familia, parece haberse esfumado de la tierra, pese a los intensos rastrillajes que se han hecho nunca se ha dado con su paradero.
Su tío aún la busca, por lo que contrata los servicios de un periodista en problemas, quien contará con la ayuda de una extraña muchacha, de una inteligencia increíble y llena de tatuajes.
