El mundo mágico se ha vuelto un lugar peligroso para quienes están en contra de Lord Voldemort, los Mortífagos han tomado el control del Ministerio de Magia y de Hogwarts, todo aquel que se atreva a enfrentarlos será arrestado e incluso torturado. La guerra finalmente comenzó.
Hallar y destruir los Horrocruxes, el secreto de la inmortalidad de Voldemort, sigue siendo el principal objetivo de Harry, Ron y Hermione.
Pero para realizar esta difícil tarea, los tres jóvenes ya no cuentan con la guía de sus profesores, ni la protección de Dumbledore, todo es cuestión de confiar en si mismos, aunque las fuerzas oscuras que los acechan intentarán quebrantar su amistad y separarlos.
En esta búsqueda, Harry encontrará un viejo cuento: La leyenda de las Reliquias de la Muerte, un relato que explica que Voldemort podría conseguir un poder inigualable.
El final se acerca y Harry deberá enfrentar su destino, y librar la batalla final con su enemigo.
